HSK 1 Reading Part I & II
HSK 1 reading includes four parts, each of which has five questions.
① Reading Part I
Question Type
Questions 21—25 are true or false questions.
For each question, a picture and a word will be given. You are expected to tell whether the word is in consistence with the picture.These questions are designed to test the students' understanding of the most frequently used and fundamental Chinese words.
Answering Skills
Look at the pictures carefully and compare them with the words. The pictures and words are usually very straightforward. Usually about:
1. human characteristics and behavior
2. objects
3. weather
4. price
5. date and time

② Reading Part II
Question Type
Questions 26— 30 are matching questions.
Five pictures and five sentences will be given. You are required to choose the corresponding picture for each sentences given. Sentences in this part are relatively short without too much information. This part is meant to examine the students' understanding of basic Chinese sentence patterns and their expression regarding basic topics in daily life.
Answering Skills
1. Observe the similarities and differences of the given pictures and predict the content that might appear.
2. Pay attention to the key words of the sentences and the essential parts.
