On July 11, 2023 Publicity and Ideology Work Conference and Commendation Conference for News Publicity Work of Beijing Language and Culture University was held in Yifu Lecture Hall. More than 200 people, including Ni Haidong, Secretary of the University Party Committee, Wei Hui, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, Lv Jing, Member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Guo Peng, Assistant to the President and Dean of the Graduate School, as well as middle-level cadres, counselors for undergraduate and graduate students, and news correspondents, attended the meeting.

Secretary Ni Haidong made a speech titled "Upholding Fundamental Principles, Breaking New Ground, and Making Concerted Efforts to Open up New Prospects of the Publicity and Ideological Work in Our University". He fully affirmed the effectiveness of the university's publicity and ideological work over the past year. He put forward specific requirements for the focus and exploration direction of the ideological and publicity work of the university under the new circumstances. He stressed the importance of upholding fundamental principles, breaking new ground, and making concerted efforts to open up new prospects of the publicity and ideological work, thus to boost the high quality development of the Party building and cause of the university.     

The decision to commend the 2022 BLCU Advanced units and individuals in News Publicity Work, Top Ten Websites, Top Ten New Medium, and Stars of New Media Innovation was read out, and honorary certificates were awarded to the winning units and individuals at the conference.       

The Online Education College actively participated in this selection and recommended "eBLCU.com", the college's cross-border distance Chinese international education platform, to apply for the selection of BLCU "Top Ten Websites". After the review and expert evaluation, "eblcu.com" was finally awarded as one of the 2022 BLCU "Top Ten Websites".

The Online Education College will use this award as an opportunity to further improve the functions of the "eblcu.com" website, enrich its content, highlight its features, so as to promote the rapid development of cross-border distance Chinese language education. At the same time, the College will try its best to better tell BLCU’s stories, make BLCU’s voice heard, and contribute vision and strength to the innovative development of international Chinese language education of the University with a stronger sense of responsibility, higher self-requirements, and a more positive work attitude.
