Chinese Language Education Platform
Commissioned by the Confucius Institute at the University of Dubai, the BLCU Continuing Education College delivered an online HSK exam training program for students in the UAE’s "Hundred Schools Project" from February 24 to March 6. Over 120 local UAE students participated in the Pre-test Training for HSK 1 to 3.
To meet the learning needs of "Hundred Schools Project" participants, "eBLCU.com" teaching team of the Continuing Education College customized this training programs by proficiency level The courses closely followed the HSK exam framework, utilizing live-streamed instruction with a "key-point analysis plus mock exams" approach to address test structures, question types, and strategies for HSK 1-3. This professional guidance not only strengthened exam preparedness but also deepened local students’ enthusiasm for Chinese language and culture. Participants commended the program’s logical curriculum design and expert faculty, noting marked improvements in mastering exam essentials and confidence.
This initiative reflects the Continuing Education College’s ongoing commitment to cross-border distance education for global Chinese learners. In recent years, leveraging the "eBLCU.com" platform, the college has advanced international Chinese education through high-quality online courses, cultivating a new generation of China-friendly talents.
Launched in July 2019, the UAE’s "Hundred Schools Project" has expanded Chinese language education across all grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade. To date, 171 schools offer Chinese courses to 71,000 students. As a flagship initiative fostering educational and cultural ties, the project has accelerated Chinese language learning in the UAE, standing as a vibrant symbol of Sino-Arab collaboration.
