On April 26, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) transformed its "mini-United Nations" campus into a kaleidoscope of global cultures as the ‌20th World Culture Carnival‌ commenced. Over 40,000 participants from 113 countries and regions—including faculty, students, alumni, and distinguished guests—gathered under the theme "Break the Time Bonds, Waltz the World in BLCU", celebrating cross-cultural harmony through immersive exchanges.

Since its 2004 inception, this flagship ‌Carnival‌ has evolved into BLCU’s signature annual cultural event. President Duan Peng remarked in his opening address: "Over two decades, the Carnival has become a rite of passage, where global friendships blossom through cultural dialogue, thrive on China’s openness, and innovate within shared aspirations for collaboration."

‌Festival Highlights:‌

A 300-member ‌"Global Parade"‌ led by international students from five continents ignited the festivities. Clad in vibrant national attire and waving flags, they danced along Wutong Avenue, culminating in a "sea of joy" at the stadium.

Four core modules engaged attendees: Global Parade, ‌Grand Opening, Cultural Performances, and ‌Interactive Cultural Booths.

Eight themed zones featured international exhibitions alongside Chinese cultural displays, with an ‌Educational Achievements Zone‌ spotlighting BLCU’s 60-year legacy in global Chinese education.
