Job Titles in Chinese

1. Chairman of the Board ⇒ 董事长 dǒngshìzhǎng

In Chinese, how do you address your colleague? You can use the method of "surname + position". For example, if your manager's surname is Wang, you can address him as "Wáng Jīnglǐ" (王经理, Manager Wang). Zhāng Zǒngcái (张总裁, President Zhang), Lǐ Zhǔguǎn (李主管, Supervisor Li), Yáng Mìshū (杨秘书, Secretary Yang), etc., are all acceptable. But words like "yuángōng" (员工, employee) and "tóngshì" (同事, colleague) are not positions, so you can't say "Lǐ Yuángōng" (李员工, Employee Li) or "Wáng Tóngshì" (王同事, Colleague Wang), which is incorrect. If your colleague's surname is Li and her/his position is the same as yours, you can directly call her/his name, or you can call her/him "Xiǎo Lǐ" (小李Little Li, if she/he is around your age), or "Lǎo Lǐ" (老李Old Li, if she/he is older than you).
