Are you really in pain?
pain, ache疼téng
头疼(tóu téng)literally means headache, but it actually means annoying when you say something makes you a headache in Chinese.
You can make a sentence like this,
This is really getting on my nerves.
这件事真让我头疼。
Zhè jiàn shì zhēn rang wǒ tóu téng。
心疼(xīn téng)literally means heart ache, but it actually means cherishing, or feeling sorry for someone or something in Chinese.
You can make a sentence like this,
I don't care about money, I just don't think I need to buy such an expensive one.
我不是心疼钱,只是觉得不需要买这么贵的。
Wǒ bú shì xīn téng qián,zhǐshì juéde bù xūyào mǎi zhème guì de。
肉疼(ròu téng)literally means muscle pain, but it actually means stress from spending too much money in Chinese.
You can make a sentence like this,
I just bought a new phone. It’s too expensive.
刚买了新手机,真让我肉疼。
Gāng mǎi le xīn shǒujī,zhēn rang wǒ ròu téng。
