October 1st is National Day国庆节(Guóqìng Jié) in China, celebrating the founding of the People’s Republic of China中国(zhōngguó). This year is extra special as we commemorate the 75th birthday of our  country!

Beyond the nationwide celebrations, one of the most cherished aspects of this holiday is the seven-day vacation, commonly referred to as National Day Golden Week 十一黄金周(Shíyī Huángjīn Zhōu). This time of year coincides with the crisp and refreshing autumn秋天(qiūtiān) weather, making it perfect for travel旅行(lǚxíng). With a week-long break, many people take the opportunity to explore different cities or even travel abroad, making the most of this time to relax放松(fàngsōng) and recharge.

Additionally, many young couples use the National Day break to hold their wedding婚礼 (hū lǐ). With extra time for honeymoons蜜月(mìyuè) and the ability to have more friends and family present, it’s become a popular time to celebrate love during the holiday.
