1. HSK Overview
The HSK is the official standardized test for Chinese language proficiency. It was introduced in 1984 and became a national standardized test in 1992. The current structure (levels 1-6) was introduced in 2009, with levels 7-9 added in 2022.
Note: The latest HSK 3.0 version only adds Levels 7-9 to the original HSK 2.0 (Levels 1-6), while maintaining unchanged proficiency criteria and exam content for the original Levels 1-6.
