After the success of the first and second Chinese Teaching Conferences of the CIs in the US and Canada organized and hosted by the Confucius Institute at Portland State University in the US in 2009 and 2013, ‘The 3rd International Chinese Language Teaching Conference of Confucius Institutes and Classrooms in North America " is scheduled to be held at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from October 16 to 18, 2015. This conference will be cohosted by the Confucius Institute of Portland State University and the Confucius Institute in Edmonton. Participants will include, but not limited to, executive directors of North America CIs and CCs, persons in charge of Chinese language teacher training programs, Chinese language instructors, teachers and teacher trainees at colleges and universities, as well as K-12 school teachers both locally hired and Hanban-sent. The purpose of the symposium is to provide the opportunity for Chinese teachers and educators to share the new vision and practices of Chinese language teaching and learning. The topics can include: Teaching and Learning Cases, Teaching reflections, Researches on Teaching and Learning,

Teaching Material Development and Use, Teaching Assessment, On-Line Teaching and Teacher Training, etc. 

“第三届北美孔子学院汉语教学研讨会(2015)”将继 2009 和 2013 年在美国波特兰州立大学成功举办前两届后于 2015 年 10 月 16 至 18 日在加拿大阿尔伯达省埃德蒙顿市举办。这次研讨会由波州大孔院和埃德蒙顿孔院共同举办。参加者为北美孔子学院院长和孔子课堂汉语教学负责人,本土汉语教师和国家汉办外派国际汉语教师、志愿者教师以及大中小学及幼儿园的汉语教师。大会也欢迎北美以外的孔子学院及孔子课堂的院长老师踊跃报名参加。本届研讨会的主要目的是为北美汉语教师就汉语教学中涉及到的新理念和新实践提供交流的平台。研讨内容包括教学案例、教学反思、教学研究、教材开发与使用、教学评估、网络教学及师资培养等。

Deadline for Submitting Abstracts - August 31, 2015

Requirement for Abstracts:

Abstracts should be no more than 400 words in both English and Chinese in Word file. Along with the abstract, a seperate contact information page should aslo be provided including name, title, affiliation, e-mail address, phone and fax number and special request if there is any, etc.
